We have received a Rainbow Tick accreditation in recognition of its commitment to equality, diversity practices and behaviour for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) communities.

The college’s LGBT and Sexuality and Gender Acceptance (SAGA) society has doubled its membership number to 43 in the last year. The society promotes wellbeing across the college, creating videos and training programmes to inform and educate students and staff.

Emma Dawber, 18, from Worsbrough, is the college’s LGBT Student Co-ordinator. She said: “I’m proud the college has won this award as it reflects the hard work of the SAGA and LGBT Society.”

Laura Gray, Health and Wellbeing Advisor at the college, added: “I am delighted that the college’s LGBT and SAGA societies have been recognised for their continued commitment and support to equality and diversity.”
