Ebony Naylor, one of our Animal Care students, has bagged the latest tech by entering a College-wide competition.
Every winter, our Enterprise team host an event, MyMarkets, which celebrates student entrepreneurs and their products, raises awareness for local business and charities and provides seasonal fun! Historically, this event has taken place at our Old Mill Lane campus as the atrium has hosted a number of market stalls, games and raffles. However, due to the current situation, our latest MyMarkets event took place online.
The virtual six-hour long event saw iTrust students deliver presentations about their newly set-up businesses, clips from well-known films and music videos and workshops from our Health and Wellbeing team to name but a few of the activities!
Ebony entered our “Find the Elves” competition which saw students embarking on an orienteering journey into the depths of our website to find six Christmas elves that had gotten lost.
There were 57 students who entered the competition, but Ebony was crowned the winner after the Christmas break and had her brand-new Acer laptop safely hand delivered to her doorstep!
She said: “I am absolutely over the moon with my laptop, it’s such a great prize to win especially at these times. It will help me a lot with working from home. It has been difficult in the past so being able to log on and do my College work from a new laptop will make things so much easier. I am so grateful to have won… thank you!”
Well done Ebony and happy laptop-ing!
