L-R – Barnsley College representatives Patricia Courtney-May (Programme Manager) and Lee Pryor (Head of Health, Sciences and Social Care Professions) with the Talent for Care Partnership of the Year Award.

Barnsley College, College Lane Surgery and Caritas Group Practice are celebrating winning Partnership of the Year Award.

The three employers won the prestigious Talent for Care Award for their innovative approach to delivering Healthcare Assistant Apprenticeships since 2015. The partners have worked closely to maximise their individual expertise, share best practice, and simplify processes to the General Practice model to make the apprenticeship more easily accessible to those who want to work in this specialised industry.

A celebratory event was held at The Guildhall, Hull, on Friday 10 March. The Awards recognise and showcase for NHS Apprenticeships across the Yorkshire and the Humber region.

“We are delighted to have our partnership recognised and win this award.”

Lee Pryor, Head of Health, Sciences and Social Care Professions at Barnsley College said: “We are delighted to have our partnership recognised and win this award. We have worked extremely well together and proud to say that all 32 apprentices successfully completed their apprenticeships with General Practices within the Wakefield, Calderdale and Huddersfield area because of this collaboration.”
