This course has various start times throughout the year and the next course will run on 19 February 2pm until 5pm and 18 March 6pm until 9pm and runs over one half day and one evening.

Course overview

Wet shaving is an art form that has rapidly come back into fashion and is an increasingly important skill to have within the industry. The course will enable beauty therapists, hairdressers, barbers and other skin care professionals to deliver the perfect traditional wet shave experience.

Course content

  • Health and safety requirements for a facial shave
  • History of the cut throat razor
  • Professional consultation
  • Maintenance and use of a straight razor
  • Perform a traditional wet shave

How will I be assessed?

  • Multiple choice test
  • Practical assessments (You will need to provide your own models).

You will require a professional straight razor.
