Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and Maths.
You will achieve: Bookkeeping Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Foundation Certificate Level 2.
You will also study for Computerised Accounting Foundation Award Level 2
This course is the ideal starting point for anyone interested in started a career in accountancy or finance. The course will help you to develop a strong foundation of the knowledge and skills required to work in the profession or to go on to study higher level bookkeeping or accounting qualifications.

You will also study a Level 2 Foundation Award in Computerised Accounting qualification. Ambitious students will have the opportunity to further develop their Maths skills by undertaking a Core Maths qualification alongside the main study programme. This will be discussed on an individual basis.

Full-time Barnsley College students aged 16-18 years old do not have to pay tuition fees.

Having good English and Maths qualifications are important for most careers and we want to give you the help you need to succeed.
If you are aged 16 – 19 and don’t already have a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths they will automatically be included in your study programme. If you want to work towards higher grades in English and Maths we can help you do that too.
Need a higher level Maths qualification? We offer a Level 3 Mathematical Studies (Core Maths).
