This course starts in April 2021. You can study this course on Thursday afternoons from 2.00pm until 4pm. The course will run for 10 weeks. We offer this course three times a year, September, January and April.

A general interest in Ceramics, this course is suitable for beginners.

Course overview

This fun, hands-on course is guaranteed to get your wheels spinning and enable you to create your very own work of art. Whether you are looking to start a new career or simply unleash your creativity, this part-time course could be your stepping stone.

Course content

The course is aimed at those who are new to Ceramics wanting to explore the subject by starting with the basics and those who are wishing to gain confidence before extending their knowledge further.

You will be shown over a 10-week period (two hours a week) a variety of techniques and a basic introduction to ceramics and pottery which will enable you to improve and develop your skills in producing their own personal ceramic art and craftwork. This will include an introduction to different techniques utilised within this discipline and will include working with both clay and ceramic materials in our specialised college workshop.

All equipment will be provided.
