Entry requirements

There is no requirement for you to have achieved prior qualifications or units prior to undertaking this qualification but an understanding of how to use computers would be needed.

Level 2 Award in Digital Marketing.

Course overview

The aim of this award is for you to undertake the planning and management of a marketing campaign.

You will research a range of platforms used for digital marketing such as TV, print and digital advertising, websites and social media to inform the creation of their own campaign. This may be to promote a product or raise awareness of an issue. You will review your work in response to the design brief and outline improvements for future practice.

Course content

You must achieve the single mandatory unit in Digital Marketing undertaking the planning and management of a marketing campaign.

You will research a range of platforms used for digital marketing such as TV, print and digital advertising, websites and social media to inform the creation of their own campaign. This may be to promote a product or raise awareness of an issue. You will review your work in response to the design brief and outline improvements for future practice.

You will be assessed using a range of methods such as practical tasks and written coursework that will culminate in a portfolio of evidence. This portfolio will be used to determine your grade.

All equipment will be provided.

This course will give you the skills for employment or to progress with your education by moving on to a Level 3 qualification, including the Access to HE in Computing course, and as a route into university or and Higher Education.

How much does the course cost?

£75.

16 – 18 year olds

Full-time Barnsley College students aged 16-18 years old do not have to pay tuition fees.

19+ Students

Having good English and Maths qualifications are important for most careers and we want to give you the help you need to succeed.

If you are aged 16 – 19 and don’t already have a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths they will automatically be included in your study programme. If you want to work towards higher grades in English and Maths we can help you do that too.
