All the units are assessed through assignment work. This will include written reports, presentations, group work, and other methods.
The study programme starts on Wedensday 12 September and runs for two years. Classes run on Wednesdays from 9.00am -5.30pm
You will need 5 GCSEs at grade A*-C (grade 9-4) including English and maths
Mature students with experience in the construction industry may also be considered
Level 3 Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment
The Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment provides you with the underpinning knowledge and basic skills needed in a wide range of industry areas. It explores the built environment in terms of its economic, social and environmental impact on both individuals and communities. This Diploma also looks at the different demands made upon land use over time as well as the activities which shape, develop and influence the built environment. The Construction and the Built Environment Diploma provides an understanding of how this key sector works from the inside out.
You will study at our purpose built Construction Centre on the Honeywell Campus. The Centre opened in 2015 and accommodates students studying a range of construction trades, including brickwork, plumbing, plastering, joinery, painting and decorating.

Once you have completed this course, it gives you access to Higher Education to study the HNC/HND in Construction, degree apprenticeship, or a specialist degree at University such as Architecture, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying. Alternatively, you could seek employment.
