Course overview

Do away with the box and embrace new methodologies for open and free design methods…

Design requires Creativity, but often it also requires thinking out of the box. In this short course you will be introduced to concepts and processes of Design Thinking whereby you seek to understand the creative process, the end user for which you are designing and the overall methodologies you could embed to help you think laterally, critically and in-depth.

Focusing primarily on the end user journey and product outcomes, design thinking methodologies will revolve around a deep interest in developing an understanding of the people for whom you are designing and the products or services for which you are developing assets.

You will therefore learn to appreciate the 5 phases of Design Thinking at the core of the concept and understand how these phases link to provide a solution-based approach to problem solving.
