This course will start on Wednesday 26 April 2023 and last for 10 weeks. You will study on Wednesday from 10.00am to 12.00 noon.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements. However, knowledge of computers and the internet would be an advantage.

You will achieve

You won’t achieve a formal qualification, but upon completion you will receive a Barnsley College certificate.

Course overview

If you run a business and want to increase your online trade or are thinking of running an online business, then this course is for you. You’ll learn how to market a website or online business through various methods from social media marketing to Pay Per Click (PPC).

This course can be studied as a stand-alone programme or alongside other courses designed to help you identify, create and market an online business.

Course content

The course will look at various methods of marketing an online business and will focus on:

  • Social media marketing
  • Pay Per Click (PPC)
  • Marketing through affiliate websites
  • Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

By the end of the course you will:

  • Design a marketing campaign
  • Create a marketing campaign
  • Analyse a marketing campaign

You’ll produce a written report and marketing campaign for assessment.

All equipment will be provided.
