Course overview

Learn how to make a film the professional way

Our six-week introduction course for Digital Video Production will cover all of the essentials for budding self-shooters, giving you the skills and hands-on experience to start film-making with confidence.

Many of the skills learned on this course can be applied to any camera or shooting format. With a mix of theory and practical exercises the course will provide a solid grounding in the skills you need to start shooting.

Whether you want to create a pro-quality self-shot film for social media or even begin on the journey to a career in film-making, come along and have fun while you learn how to shoot film like a pro.

Course content

Come along and join our introductory course teaching you how to create that unique digital film experience.

On this course you will learn the following skills:

  • Scripting and Storyboarding
  •  Composition and Editing
  • Camera menu, set up
  • Tripod and handheld operating
  • Exposure control and white balance techniques
  • Focus control including depth of field
  • Recording sound
  • Controlled/uncontrollable action
  • Management of CF cards and media
  • Editing and Production

All equipment will be provided.
