Understanding Equality and Diversity Level 2 Certificate Part-time

Start Date / Duration

The course starts week commencing 17 April 2023 and runs for 10 weeks. Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30pm-8:30pm.

Entry requirements

You need to be aged 19 or above. No previous formal qualifications are required.

You will achieve

Level 2 Certificate in Equality and Diversity.

Course overview

If you want to increase your awareness and understanding of Equality and Diversity in a variety of environments including society, the community and the workplace, then this course is perfect for you. It is ideal if you want to pursue a career in a range of sectors including Education or Childcare and Health and Social Care.

Course content

This qualification has been developed in order to address new legislation in this area. It will reinforce the importance of equality and diversity within different contexts and give you an understanding of the different issues affecting equality and diversity in today’s society, the community and the workplace.

As part of this course, you will study the following units:

  • Equality and diversity in society
  • Equality and diversity in the community
  • Equality and diversity in the workplace

 

You will be assessed by completing course work and assignments set by your tutor.

You will need to provide writing materials and stationery, a folder and a USB stick. Having access to a computer (computers can be accessed in College) would also be useful but it is not essential.

How much does the course cost?

This course may be FREE to you subject to eligibility criteria. Funding is available for those claiming benefits or on a low wage. (Eligibility criteria applies.) If you are not entitled to any funding the course fee is £362
