Course content
The course is an assisting role covering:
- Shampoo and conditioning
- Colour removals
- Blow drying
- Plaiting
- Creating good working relationships with clients and stylist
- Health and safety
This course runs twice a year, September and February. The next course will commence on Tuesday 29 January 2019, 6.00pm-9.00pm. The course will be completed in 18 weeks (this includes the 3 week introductory course).
No formal qualifications required, just a general interest in hairdressing.

Kick start your career in Hairdressing with this Level 1 course. You will learn the skills you need to progress on to the Level 2 programme, or to assist in a salon.

The course is assessed by written papers, oral questioning and practical assessments.
You will require a full hairdressing kit and uniform.

On completion of this course you will be able to progress onto a Level 2 Hairdressing or Level 2 Barbering.
Course fees: £600.
The introductory three week course must be completed at an additional cost of £40, full fee payable, before undertaking the Level 1 Hairdressing course.
