There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

You must be aged 19+.

You will achieve

Level 1 Award in Customer Service.

Course overview

This qualification covers the basic elements of how to deliver an excellent customer experience and will equip you with the necessary skills to work and support customer service delivery.

The Level 1 qualification will suit you if you have no previous experience but are looking to develop your skills to work in the customer service industry. At this level you will develop your knowledge and demonstrate your customer service skills.

 

Course content

This course consists of several units:

  • The principles of customer service
  • How to deliver good customer service
  • Different communication methods
  • How to provide good customer service in line with organisational procedures
  • How to effectively deal with customer queries, problems and complaints

There is an examination at the end of this course.

You will require a computer and good internet connection.

This course is studied online.

Following the completion of this course,  you can progress onto further study, such as:

  • Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service
  • Level 2 NVQ in Customer Service
  • Level 2 in Customer Service Apprenticeship

How much does the course cost?

This course costs £150. This course may be FREE to study depending on your circumstances – please see the drop-down option below for more details.

Extra information

You may not have to pay for this course if you are employed but earn below £21,255 a year, or if you receive Job Seekers Allowance, Employment and Support Allowance or Universal Credit. If you are unemployed, actively seeking employment and receive Council Tax Benefit, Housing Benefit, Income Support or WFTC then you may also receive funding for this course. You will need to provide evidence of your eligibility which will be checked at enrolment.

This course is funded by South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) and/or West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA). You must be living in the South or West Yorkshire regions to qualify for funding.
