Level 2 Site Carpentry
NOCN_Cskills Awards Level 3 in Site Carpentry (Construction)
This level 3 carpentry qualification is relatively new for City and Guilds and is aimed at those individuals who work or want to work as a Site Carpenter in the construction sector. At this level, you will learn advanced skills in site carpentry. The qualification has been devised to provide learners with a fantastic understanding of all aspects of carpentry; a very in depth course to have you industry ready and competent across a range of skills.
The Level 3 Site Carpentry Diploma allows you to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in Site Carpentry.
You will learn a variety of carpentry skills; the full qualification consists of the following units:
1. Health, safety and welfare in construction
2. Carry out first fix flooring and roofing
3. Carry out second fixing operations:
4. Principles of organising, planning and pricing construction work:
5. Carry out first fix roofing and stairs:
6. Carry out second fixing double doors and mouldings:
7. Set up and use fixed and transportable machinery:

Work boots, gloves and eye protection will need to be purchased prior to starting your course, financial assistance may be available.

After successful completion, you can progress to the Level 3 in Site Carpentry. Alternatively, entry to an apprenticeship can be gained if suitable employment is found.
Full-time Barnsley College students aged 16-18 years old do not have to pay tuition fees.

You don’t have to be studying sport to get involved in the Sports Academy.

Having good English and Maths qualifications are important for most careers and we want to give you the help you need to succeed.
If you are aged 16 – 19 and don’t already have a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths they will automatically be included in your study programme. If you want to work towards higher grades in English and Maths we can help you do that too.
Need a higher level Maths qualification? We offer a Level 3 Mathematical Studies (Core Maths).
