Entry requirements

  • Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including English and Maths.
  • Where applicants do not meet the entry requirements, the tutor may use their discretion based on a good personal reference and/or successful interview.

You will achieve

Level 2 Technical Award/Extended Certificate in Networking and Information Systems.

Course overview

This course will prepare a new generation of IT managers and shape how people live and work in the future.

It will show you how to create systems and manage information, big data and business analytics.

You will also aim to understand how networking fits in to the wider IT industry, work with servers, datacentres and the cloud and get the know-how and practical skills to become a creative and resourceful information system and networking professional.

Course content

Using industry-standard and open-source network management solutions, you will also be able to apply techniques used in networks, get hands on with our industry-standard network laboratories and lay strong foundations for a successful career in Computing.

This course also helps to prepare you for a variety of careers in the field of network engineering as well as progress to apprenticeships or Higher Education.
