Course overview

Based at The Hoyland Centre (High Croft, Hoyland, S74 9AF), the part-time study programmes have been developed to attract and support 16-18 year olds (or 19-24 year olds with an EHCP) who might need encouragement and guidance to take that next step.

The Positive Moves courses will run two days per week until July 2020and has been tailored to those who might feel anxious or nervous about continuing their education in a larger college environment.

Course content

This programme has been designed to support young people who may feel that they need help in overcoming barriers to take the next steps into a positive life or career. The programme will help and support you to overcome those barriers and develop strategies for positive wellbeing and boost your confidence.

The employability qualification is assessed through the completion of workbooks.

All equipment will be provided.

You will study at Hoyland Centre, High Croft, Hoyland, Barnsley, S74 9AF.

Gain a job, move into further education or apprenticeships.

How much does the course cost?

This course is free.

16 – 18 year olds

Full-time Barnsley College students aged 16-18 years old do not have to pay tuition fees.
