Thursday 8 June 6.00pm–9.00pm. This course takes two weeks to complete.

Entry requirements

Level 3 Certificate in Sports Massage (Soft Tissue Therapy) or equivalent.

You will achieve

Barnsley College certificate in Myofascial Dry Cupping.

Course overview

Our Myofascial Dry Cupping course is designed for those who are looking to use Dry Cupping modalities professionally within massage therapy, injury treatment and rehabilitation. The course will enhance your knowledge and skills in sports therapy to enable you to utilise the modality to correctly treat the common patterns of dysfunction with injuries.

Course content

The areas of study are:

  • Introduction to Dry Cupping Therapy
  • Theory and physiology of Dry Cupping Therapy
  • Contraindications and Health and Safety considerations
  • Application of use within Sports Massage Therapy and other therapy contexts.
  • Integration of Dry Cupping within therapy treatment
  • Demonstration and Application of Dry Cupping Therapy.

Practical demonstration.

You will need to bring pens and stationery as well as training clothes. You will need to purchase a set of cups and a link will be provided to show you where to purchase these.

Professionally, successful achievement of this course will allow you to enhance the range of treatments you offer within your organisational setting such as a sports club or alternatively in a self-employed environment.
