This course will commence in September or January, dates and times to be confirmed. This course will run for 28 weeks.

Entry requirements
  • A degree or HNC or HND in a relevant subject (Business or Management) or a BTEC Level 5 or Level 6 short course (or equivalent) in a related subject (Business or Management)

And/or

  • Relevant work experience
  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy are essential (GCSE Maths and English A to C Grade as a minimum are desirable)
  • Sucessful interview. The purpose of this interview is to review the entry profile of qualifications and/or experience held by you  to establish whether your profile shows the ability to successfully complete the programme of study

Course content

The course is ideal for managers seeking to develop the skills they need to be a confident and effective leader at this level, and understand the principles and practice of strategic leadership. There is a strong emphasis on practical skills development alongside the development of requisite knowledge and understanding. Study methods will include lectures, individual and group work, discussion, problem-solving and case studies.

How will I be assessed?

A range of appropriate assessment methods will be used, examples of which are: work related written assignments (typically 5000 words max), presentations (individual and group) and personal reflection. Guidance will be given throughout the programme to assist you.

You will be required to provide paper, writing materials, A4 ring binder file, extra wide dividers.

What can I do next?

A number of students who have successfully completed the programme have subsequently continued their studies and achieved Masters level qualifications. Entry onto these qualifications is subject to each individual university entry requirements, for their Masters programmes.
