Want an exciting career in Hairdressing? The course covers many aspects of hairdressing including cutting, colour correction and dressing long hair.

This course is for those who have completed their Level 2 Hairdressing Diploma and wish to develop their hairdressing career. The course covers many aspects of advanced Hairdressing including cutting, colour correction, dressing long hair and advanced perming.

You will take part in various competitions in and out of the college which will then open up more job opportunities upon completion.

Course Content

  • You must hold a Hairdressing Level 2 Diploma

  • Online assessments are required to be completed for each unit throughout the course

  • You will have practical assessments to complete for each unit

  • You will require paying clients to complete practical assessments, which must be sourced by yourself. If necessary model blocks may be used to assess the perming unit

You will be required to purchase a kit and uniform before starting the course. The total cost of the kit  and uniform will be approximately £300. Both can be purchased from the department supplier. The department staff will provide you with details of how you can order if you choose to come and enrol.
You will also need writing stationery.

Diploma

You can progress onto employment e.g. working in a salon, cruise ships or spa hotels.

Having good English and Maths qualifications are important for most careers and we want to give you the help you need to succeed.

If you are aged 16 - 19 and don't hold a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths, you will automatically be included in your study programme. If you want to work towards achieving a higher grade in English and Maths, we can help you do that too and we offer Level 3 Mathematical Studies (Core Maths) which maybe added to your study programme, subject to approval from your chosen department.

If you're aged 19 or above and don't hold a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths we can help. We offer FREE English and Maths qualifications that can be studied on a part-time basis, subject to eligibility.
