We are aware of the new COVID-19 restrictions which are coming into place this weekend across South Yorkshire. Barnsley College and Barnsley Sixth Form College are in regular discussions with Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council on the new measures and the possible impact on our learners and staff.
Barnsley College and Barnsley Sixth Form College are open as per the measures covering education. All students and their parents or carers, can be assured that we are following government guidelines for class sizes and social distancing measures. We will continue to utilise ‘blended learning’ with students receiving a mixture of online delivery and practical, on-site taught sessions.
Each campus building is COVID-secure with hand sanitiser stations on arrival and clearly-signed one-way systems, amongst other measures including contact tracing where necessary.
We will continue to closely monitor the government guidelines and should any changes need to be made, we will keep you as informed as possible.
