A free cricket hub has launched with hopes of making cricket the most inclusive sport in the UK.
The hub is being run in partnership with Barnsley College, The Yorkshire Cricket Board and Higham Cricket Club.
It is a great opportunity for young people aged 12 to 25 with SEN (Special Educational Needs) or a disability to get involved in these sessions to learn amazing skills, meet new friends and be part of an inclusive team.
These sessions are completely free and will run every Thursday from 4.30pm to 5.30pm at Barnsley College Honeywell campus, during the summer months the hub is looking to move to Higham CC to allow participants to experience being part of a cricket club.

Lliam Dickinson, a representative of the initiative and Sport HE Pathway Leader at the College, said: “This initiative is about creating an inclusive space where people of all abilities can come together, enjoy the game of cricket, and build confidence and connection through sport. Whether you have played before or it is your first time picking up a bat, everyone is welcome to join in and experience the joy of cricket in a friendly and supportive environment.”
