Following the government’s latest guidance, the College will be moving to online learning from Tuesday 5 January.
All students will be contacted to ensure they continue to receive the highest standard of education during this latest lockdown.
Vulnerable students and those of key workers will be contacted directly by their tutors to discuss appropriate arrangements.
To ensure the safety of our learners, their families, and our staff, Barnsley College, following advice from the government, has cancelled all examinations due to take place in January. Learners due to take exams this month have been notified and further guidance will be given on future arrangements as soon as possible. The government have announced that tutors’ estimated grades will be used to replace cancelled GCSEs and A-levels in England this summer.
We will continue to closely monitor the latest guidance from the government and will respond to any changes when appropriate.
Our student support services team are still available to all our learners. Please visit https://www.barnsley.ac.uk/student-life/ for advice and guidance.
