As the new term starts, Barnsley Sixth Form College has welcomed two new managers to help lead staff and continue to improve student success.
Andrew Gibbins and Karen Anderson have joined the College as Director of Learner Experience and Director of Quality and Standards respectively.
Andrew joins the College from Penistone Grammar School where he was Director of Post-16 provision and Karen has moved from one of the best performing colleges in the country, Runshaw College in Leyland.
Gerard Garvey, Barnsley Sixth Form College Principal, said: “We are delighted to have Andrew and Karen on board at this exciting time for Barnsley Sixth Form College as work begins on our new multi-million pound campus, due to open during the 2015/16 academic year. Along with the wider staff team, Andrew and Karen will play an important role in ensuring our students reach their full potential, achieve outcomes that allow them to continue on into higher education or employment, and enjoy their time with us.”
