New online course takes software into account

We are excited to offer a new online 10-week course in Level 2 AAT Accounting Software, open for applications now for February 2021 start.

This Level 2 qualification will build on a student’s existing knowledge of accounting software packages and teaches them about using a computerised accounting system to maintain records of business transactions and preparing reports.

Students enrolled on this course will benefit from a free Sage licence for six months, worth £165. The Sage software licence includes access to invaluable resources to help students thrive, including Sage University, Accountant and Bookkeeper Hub and Webinar Library.

This Level 2 qualification teaches students about using a computerised accounting system to maintain records of business transactions and preparing reports.

Students enrolled on this course will benefit from a free Sage licence for six months, worth £165.

This course is tailored to those who possess basic accounting knowledge and will prepare them to implement that knowledge in an accountancy or finance job role. AAT qualifications are recognised by employers as a practical and technical qualification that prepare students for the world of work.

Abby Holmes, Programme Manager within the Business, Warehousing and Logistics department at Barnsley College, said: “We’re excited to be extending our course provision by offering this new online AAT course. This course will enable students to enhance their skills and develop their career prospects with the flexibility to study around their existing family, education and work commitments. Students who complete this course will be in the perfect position to progress onto the Level 2 or Level 3 AAT Bookkeeping course starting September 2021.”

This standalone 10-week course costs £300 and funding and support may be available for students aged 19 and over.
