Channel 4’s First Dates star, Fred Sirieix, talked to Catering and Hospitality students at Barnsley College about his extensive career in hospitality and television.
As an inspirational speaker, Fred spoke virtually to students about his career path and gave tips on being successful within the competitive industry. Students took the opportunity to ask Fred questions related to hospitality, career advice and working in television.
Fred started the talk by sharing how his hospitality journey began by working front-of-house in a Michelin-starred restaurant in France before working at La Tante Claire, Le Gavroche, Sartoria, Brasserie Roux and Galvin at Windows in London.
He also spoke to students about the production of TV show First Dates and what it is truly like to work with Gordon Ramsay and Gino D’Acampo on ITV’s Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip.
“Having listened to Fred’s feedback I am determined to succeed in the industry and become a successful chef.”
