Barnsley College is offering a number of new part-time courses for people looking to improve their cookery skills.

These programmes are suitable either for beginners or people who cook regularly but would like to increase their abilities.

The Great Barnsley Bake Off course is perfect for those looking to rise to their own personal cookery challenge, while the Cake Decorating for Beginners and Introduction to Chocolate and Sugarcraft programmes are ideal for anyone preparing a treat for family or friends with a sweet tooth.

Anyone wanting to become the model host will learn how to do so on the Cooking for Dinner Parties course and the Cooking for University programme will equip students with all the knowledge they need to whip up tasty meals on a tight budget.

Finally, the Curry Club course will provide students with the skills to satisfy diners with a taste for Asian cuisine of all flavours, from mild to spicy dishes.

Martyn Hollingsworth, Catering Course Leader at the college, said: “The new courses have been designed for people of all cooking abilities who are looking to cater for people with a wide range of tastes. Enrolling on any of the courses will sharpen up your skills in the kitchen and provide you with a really enjoyable experience!”

These part-time courses will run throughout 2015. To register your interest or find out more, call 01226 216 123 or email info@barnsley.ac.uk
