Beth Willeman

Beth started working for Barnsley College in 2013. She started her career as a Student Support Officer and progressed onto a Tutorial Learning Mentor, Safeguarding Representative and ALS Representative. As a TLM, Beth taught tutorials and offered pastoral support to classroom based and work-based learners. The programme she delivered encouraged learners to develop new skills and knowledge. An essential part to her role was to inspire learners to prepare for a positive future outside of college. Beth worked with learners with challenging behaviour and additional needs specialising in apprenticeships. She started working with the Additional Learner Support department as an ALS WBL Advisor in Feb 2020. In her role she assesses WBL support needs, advises, and offers support and guidance to staff to deliver support to their work-based learners so they are having to reach their full potential and complete their apprenticeship programme.
