Our students have completed two sponsored charity walks to raise funds for ActionAid.

Staff and students made the five mile journey to Stairfoot before returning to the Old Mill Lane campus on Thursday 1 December and Monday 5 December.

The walks were organised by current Level 2 and 3 Business students and to-date have raised over £75 for ActionAid, a charity that helps women in over 45 countries to change their lives for good.

Gabriel Hopkinson, a current Business student said: “I’m really proud to be part of the team that organised this walk and raised money for ActionAid, whilst improving my team building and communication skills.”

“Events like these provide our students with a fantastic opportunity to gain skills that will help them throughout their lives.”

Michael Bentley, Tutorial Learning Mentor, added: “Events like these provide our students with a fantastic opportunity to gain skills that will help them throughout their lives whilst raising money to improve other people’s lives in another country.”
