It’s not too late to study a sport qualification at Barnsley College in September 2018.

The College’s sport courses cover subjects such as: Sports Coaching; Sports Development; Exercise Health and Lifestyle; PE and Care of Children and Young People; Leadership in Sport; Psychology for Sports Performance; Sport as a Business and Work Based Experience in Sport.

If you are looking for a career as a Performance Analyst, Fitness Instructor, Health and Wellness Advisor, Sports Coach, Personal Trainer or a Leisure Centre Manager, there is a course for you.

Sport students at Barnsley College are given the opportunity to join the Barnsley Sports Academy offering individual athletes and teams the chance to compete in the very highest level sporting competitions. This enables students access to state-of-the-art sports facilities at Honeywell Sports Village which include a 3G pitch, a multi-use games area, indoor sports arenas, two gyms and a fitness studio.

Mark Ryan, Sports Programme Manager at Barnsley College, said: “The sport qualification is relevant to those who are interested in a career working in the sport industry or just want to explore their hobby.

“The qualifications will enable students to gain the practical and theoretical skills necessary to further their study or widen their employment opportunities.”
