Are you a Looked After Child (LAC)?
As a Looked After Child (LAC), safeguarding is in place to keep you safe and ensure you have the same opportunities as others.
Throughout the academic year, you will have Personal Education Plan (PEP) meetings to support your education and future goals. These meetings include you, your carers or advocate, a TIAG (Targeted Information, Advice, and Guidance) adviser, college staff, and other professionals. The purpose is to review your progress, discuss your mid- and long-term plans, identify what is working well, and explore any support you may need. The meeting usually lasts about an hour.
Students who may have a financial need can apply for the Learner Support Fund, which offers financial assistance towards travel costs, contributions to food expenses, and support for essential study equipment and kits, as needed.
To apply, visit our Learner Support Fund page.
