Our South Yorkshire IoT campus
Transforming education
In a wonderful story spanning 92 years, our Church Street campus – formerly Barnsley Mining and Technical College – will be sensitively transformed into a modern, technology-rich IoT to retain and enhance the classic architecture inside and out complemented with the latest innovations in construction and technology.
GF Tomlinson are the main contractor for the project, with construction commencing in May 2024. Consultants AECOM are a key partner supporting the College’s Major Projects Team as lead Technical Advisers through the construction phase.
