Benefits of an apprenticeship

Learn on the job

As an apprentice, you’ll spend most of your time working with an employer, gaining real-world experience under the guidance of industry professionals. You’ll develop essential skills, tackle real tasks, and become a valued member of the team.

Earn while you learn

Apprenticeships allow you to earn a salary while you learn. You’ll receive a fair wage from your employer, so you can support yourself financially while gaining qualifications.

Support at every step

Throughout your apprenticeship, you’ll be supported by experienced mentors, tutors and workplace supervisors who will guide your development and help you succeed.

How apprenticeships work

Apprenticeships offer a unique blend of practical experience and classroom learning, giving you the best of both worlds.

80% work-based, 20% classroom. Alongside your work-based training, you’ll attend college on a part-time basis, either through day release or block learning. This is where you’ll build the theoretical knowledge needed to support your practical skills.
