Engineering and Technology Level 1 Certificate Full-Time
This practical Level 1 Engineering and Technology course is ideal for those who enjoy learning by doing and want to explore a future in engineering.
You will develop essential workshop and employability skills while gaining hands-on experience in general engineering, electrical installation and motorcycle maintenance. Activities include using engineering tools safely, assembling basic electrical circuits and carrying out routine motorcycle checks on brakes, tyres, fluid levels and lighting systems.
You will learn in specialist workshops using appropriate tools, equipment, electrical components and motorcycle training resources. The course provides an excellent foundation for progressing to a Level 2 Engineering qualification, an apprenticeship or further vocational study.

Having good English and Maths qualifications are important for most careers and we want to give you the help you need to succeed.
If you are aged 16 - 19 and don't hold a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths, you will automatically be included in your study programme. If you want to work towards achieving a higher grade in English and Maths, we can help you do that too and we offer Level 3 Mathematical Studies (Core Maths) which maybe added to your study programme, subject to approval from your chosen department.
If you're aged 19 or above and don't hold a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths we can help. We offer FREE English and Maths qualifications that can be studied on a part-time basis, subject to eligibility.
