Hairdressing Level 2 Diploma Part-time
Become part of the glamorous hair and beauty industry by getting hands-on on one of our hairdressing courses. This qualification is suitable for you if you want to increase your skills and knowledge to become a great hairdresser.
This course has a compulsory six weeks introductory period, from when it starts, that will cover important skills and knowledge necessary for progression during the course.
The course is for learners wishing to develop their hairdressing career further. The course covers many aspects of hairdressing, including cutting, colouring, blow drying, perming, setting and dressing long hair.
Learners will take part in various competitions in and out of the college which will then open up more job opportunities upon completion.

How much does the course cost?
This course costs £1,410. There may be funding available for this course depending on circumstances. The introductory period, which must be completed, costs £85. There is no funding available for the introductory period, so all learners must pay this fee.

Course Content
A Level 1 Hairdressing qualification preferably completed within the last three years or a Hairdressing Techniques (Cutting and Styling) Level 2 Certificate.
You may be required to sit an initial English assessment if you do not already hold an English Language or ESOL qualification.
Online assessments are required to be completed for each unit throughout the course
You will have practical assessments to complete for each unit
You will require paying clients to complete practical assessments, which must be sourced by yourself
If necessary, model blocks may be used to assess the perming unit

Having good English and Maths qualifications are important for most careers and we want to give you the help you need to succeed.
If you are aged 16 - 19 and don't hold a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths, you will automatically be included in your study programme. If you want to work towards achieving a higher grade in English and Maths, we can help you do that too and we offer Level 3 Mathematical Studies (Core Maths) which maybe added to your study programme, subject to approval from your chosen department.
If you're aged 19 or above and don't hold a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths we can help. We offer FREE English and Maths qualifications that can be studied on a part-time basis, subject to eligibility.
