You can start an Apprenticeship at any point during the year. The course will take a minimum of 18 months to complete.
Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard – Lead Adult Care Worker and The Care Certificate.
As a Lead Adult Care Worker you will make a positive difference to someone’s life when they are faced with physical, practical, social, emotional or intellectual challenges. You will be expected to exercise judgement and take appropriate action to support individuals to maintain their independence, dignity and control. Please see link below:

You must complete the 15 induction standards as set out in the ‘Care Certificate’ which forms part of your mandatory induction which is delivered in the workplace by your employer. The Care Certificate, which builds on the previous Common Induction Standards (CIS) and National Minimum Training Standards, is a requirement for all apprentices on this standard.
For those staff who have completed the CIS prior to the launch of the Care Certificate, it is the employer’s responsibility to judge where the gaps are for staff to meet the additional standards in the Care Certificate.
A Lead Adult Care Worker must know and understand:
You will usually complete your work using an ePortfolio. You will also complete an end point assessment. This is to measures your skills, knowledge and behaviours as set out in the apprenticeship standard.
Your assessor will make appointments for planned observation visits in the workplace.
You will need access to a computer and the internet.
On successful completion of this apprenticeship you will be a competent and job-ready Lead Adult Care Support Worker. Progression to Level 3 qualifications related to your job role is an option after a period of working and gaining experience, you may be able to work towards a Senior Health and Social Care Support Worker role.
There is no cost to being an apprentice. All costs associated with your apprenticeship, including the cost of training and your salary, will be paid by your employer.

Having good English and Maths qualifications are important for most careers and we want to give you the help you need to succeed.
If you are aged 16 – 19 and don’t already have a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths they will automatically be included in your study programme. If you want to work towards higher grades in English and Maths we can help you do that too.
Need a higher level Maths qualification? We offer a Level 3 Mathematical Studies (Core Maths).
