Music Production Level 3 Extended Diploma Full-time

Study music production, audio engineering, sequencing, live sound, and acoustics. How much does the course cost?

Full-time Barnsley College students aged 16-18 years old do not have to pay tuition fees.

Course Content

  • Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including GCSE English and Maths.

  • You will be required to have a competent standard of musicianship.

You will be assessed on your practical work and coursework.

Your own instrument is essential and the ability to play it to a good level.

Diploma

Employment: this course can form the foundations for future study and work in this industry. Former students have gained employment as Studio Recording Engineers, Live Sound Engineers and Television Composers while others have performed at Glastonbury, Download and Leeds Festivals.

Education: you could progress to university to further develop your skills and knowledge of this area.

Having good English and Maths qualifications are important for most careers and we want to give you the help you need to succeed.

If you are aged 16 - 19 and don't hold a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths, you will automatically be included in your study programme. If you want to work towards achieving a higher grade in English and Maths, we can help you do that too and we offer Level 3 Mathematical Studies (Core Maths) which maybe added to your study programme, subject to approval from your chosen department.

If you're aged 19 or above and don't hold a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths we can help. We offer FREE English and Maths qualifications that can be studied on a part-time basis, subject to eligibility.
