Course Overview

Retail Service, Supply and Administration Level 2 Foundation Apprenticeship

The Level 2 Retail Service, Supply and Administration Foundation Apprenticeship is designed for employed young people looking to gain valuable workplace experience while developing the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career.

Combining practical, hands-on learning in a real work environment with structured off-the-job training, this apprenticeship helps you to build confidence, develop employability skills and gain industry-relevant experience. Apprentices will work across a variety of retail settings, including sectors such as food, fashion, construction materials and manufacturing.

Throughout the programme, you will develop a strong understanding of retail operations, customer service and administrative processes. Daily responsibilities may include supporting customers, managing stock and supplies, processing orders and carrying out a range of administrative tasks, depending on the needs of the employer.

The programme also includes the development of essential English and maths skills, alongside the knowledge, skills and behaviours required within the apprenticeship standard. Apprentices will complete a minimum of 187 hours of off-the-job learning, supported by experienced tutors and workplace mentors.

By the end of the programme, apprentices will be fully competent in their role and ready to contribute effectively within the workplace.
