Supporting The Adult Nursing Team Level 3 T Level Full-time

Studying the Supporting The Adult Nursing Team T Level builds skills like communication, teamwork, and presentation.

You’ll learn about clinical practice, infection control, health, wellbeing and more.

Specialised topics include:

  • Assisting the team with clinical skills

  • Supporting individuals to meet activities of daily living

  • Assisting with the care and treatment of skin conditions

You’ll do a 45-day industry placement to gain hands-on experience and improve Maths, English, and digital skills.

How much does the course cost?

Full-time Barnsey College students aged 16-18 years old do not have to pay tuition fees.

Course Content

  • Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above including GCSE English, Maths, and Science at grade 5 or above.

OR

  • Extended Diploma at Merit grade in a related subject with GCSE English and Maths at grade 4.

Core Component: Paper A written examination Paper B written examination Employer-set project In order to achieve a grade for Core Components, you must have results for both sub-components (the core written examinations and the employer- set project). The combined results for these sub-components will be aggregated to form the overall grade A*- E and U. Occupational Specialism Component: Synoptic assignments You will also be required to successfully achieve a Distinction/Merit/Pass grade in one of the Occupational Specialism Components In addition, you must complete an industry placement, lasting a minimum of 315 hours.

You will need a current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) enhanced disclosure certificate, textbooks recommended by your tutor, a willingness to travel to your work placements (which may occasionally involve two bus journeys), stationery, and a Barnsley College tunic as a uniform for your work placements.

T Level Technical Qualification

Upon course completion and depending on your chosen occupational specialism you could progress to the following:

  • Employment

  • Higher Education

  • Degree Apprenticeship

Having good English and Maths qualifications are important for most careers and we want to give you the help you need to succeed.

If you are aged 16 - 19 and don't hold a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths, you will automatically be included in your study programme. If you want to work towards achieving a higher grade in English and Maths, we can help you do that too and we offer Level 3 Mathematical Studies (Core Maths) which can be added to your study programme.

If you're aged 19 or above and don't hold a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths we can help. We offer FREE English and Maths qualifications that can be studied on a part-time basis, subject to eligibility.
