Meet our Governors

Daniel Cherryholme – Staff Governor

As one of the Staff Governors at Barnsley College, I am proud to represent the views and experiences of colleagues and contribute to the continued development and success of the College.

I am currently the Employer Engagement Academies Manager, working closely with employers and our curriculum teams to strengthen relationships between industry and the College. My role focuses on creating meaningful opportunities for employers to engage with our academies, helping ensure that our students and apprentices develop the skills, knowledge and experience they need to succeed in the workplace.

I am passionate about building strong partnerships with local and regional employers and ensuring that the voice of industry is reflected in the education and training we provide. I believe that effective employer engagement plays an important role in connecting education with the needs of the economy and creating positive opportunities for our students and apprentices.

As a Staff Governor, I am committed to ensuring that staff voices are heard and to bringing my experience of working with employers, curriculum teams and colleagues into the Governor role. I am proud to contribute to the College’s continued growth and success and to support its ambition to make a positive difference to students, employers and the wider Barnsley community.
