Apprenticeship Open Day

About the event

Do you want to start a new career or are you thinking about changing your existing career? Have you considered an apprenticeship?
Potential new apprentices will have the opportunity to find out about the wide range of apprenticeship programmes on offer at Barnsley College on Wednesday 6 March 2019 from 4.00pm to 8.00pm.

Apprenticeships are a career path that allow you to enter the world of work, gain knowledge and skills and get paid whilst acquiring hands-on work experience. Anyone aged 16 or above can apply to be an apprentice, even if you are already employed. They are available on three levels, Intermediate, Advanced and Higher, so you can gain qualifications up to degree level whilst avoiding student debt.

Barnsley College’s overall apprenticeship success rates are 80%, a huge 11% above the national average with 95% of College apprentices progressing into permanent employment. Apprenticeships are a fantastic way to start a career and develop skills within the workplace.
With over 80 apprenticeship programmes available in industry sectors including Accountancy; Business; Catering and Hospitality; Childcare and Education Professions; Construction; Creative and Digital Media; Engineering; Health and Social Care; Management; Sport; Travel and Tourism and Warehousing and Logistics, we’re sure we’ll have the apprenticeship for you.
