Reasons to join us at Barnsley College

Reason 1

Level 1 and 2 Art and Design students, in collaboration with Addaction, produced a series of alternative alcohol labels to highlight the negative effects of alcohol. These were displayed at the ‘Party Hard’ alcohol awareness event. These will now be displayed in Addaction’s reception area.

99% of Art, Design and Fashion students have gone on to work or further study after completing their course with us.



Reason 3

Level 3 Art and Design students have recently exhibited a collection of their print work at The Cooper Gallery. Students were awarded with best in show awards for their work by Vice Principle of Curriculum Liz Leek.

Reason 4

Fashion students recently had their work run the catwalk at the Andrew Barton Beehives, Bobs and Blowdries public exhibition event. They are currently preparing for their pieces to storm the catwalk at The Great Yorkshire Show.

Reason 5

The creative pathway in Art and Design means that you can start at Level 1, 2 or 3 depending on your qualifications on entry. You can progress onto a Foundation Diploma and Access to HE programmes at University Campus Barnsley or other universities in your specialist area.
