- Employed / Self-Employed learners earning less than £21,255 per year (you no longer require proof of contract and holiday pay)
- you are in receipt of JSA/ESA or Universal Credit (working less than 16 hours per week)
Full Fee Payable Courses
Some courses at college are listed as full fee payable and unfortunately we are unable to waive the fees on these courses or offer discounts. This means that everyone has to pay the full amount for these courses.
Fees are paid for one year of study at any one time. Annual payments will be made for courses of more than one year in duration.
You must pay fees in full at the time of enrolment or make instalment arrangements. You can pay by credit/debit card, cash or cheque made payable to ‘Barnsley College’.
Instalments are available for courses with fees over £150, one third of the fee is payable at the point of enrolment with the balance spread over the following 4 months (dependent on the length of the course), the instalments are made through direct debit so you need to provide your bank details which include your account number and sort code. Without these details the instalment plan cannot be completed.
Employer / Sponsor Paying
If your employer is paying for your course fees please provide a letter on Company letterhead stating the course and fee your employer is paying.
Non-Payment of Fees
The College may suspend continued study and/or prevent future enrolment on courses if any fees remain outstanding.
Full refunds will automatically be given where courses do not run. Refund of tuition fees, once the course has started, will only be approved in exceptional circumstances. The College will not refund any portion of a student loan that you have taken out to cover your course fees.
The Information Team based at the Old Mill Lane site of the college are on hand to discuss funding options or course fees with learners who may be required to pay for their course. For information on whether you are entitled to funding or discount on a course please call our friendly Information Team on +44 (0)1226 216 123 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
