This qualification has been developed for delivery in a practical environment which means that you do not need to be employed within construction, you can do it whilst still at school. It has been designed to develop your skills, knowledge and understanding so you can work as a construction operative in the construction industry or progress to further training.
The sessions will be based in both the practical workshop and the classroom. You are expected to wear full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE, provided by us) when in the workshop and safe, appropriate behaviour should be demonstrated at all times as you will be in a potentially dangerous working environment, similar to that of a real building site.
The subject units you will study are:
• Health and safety in construction trades.
• Plastering walls.
