Our next Open Day is on Wednesday 18 October 2023, 4.00pm – 7.00pm and is open to anyone looking to study with us!

We are the most successful general Further Education College in the region offering a range of full and part-time vocational coursesA LevelsapprenticeshipsT Levels (Technical qualifications) and university-level courses.

Visit our Open Day and we will show you what we have to offer you. Regardless of whether you’re leaving school and want to take your next step, or if you’re an adult looking to gain a higher-level qualification, we’re sure we’ve got the course for you.

At the event, you will have the opportunity to find out about the wide range of career pathways we offer and see our fantastic facilities.

Presentation Times and Locations

If you’re interested in T Levels, go along to our information talk at 4.15pm and 5.45pm in room A.G.11 in the Old Mill Lane campus.

We will be delivering an apprenticeship presentation at 5.00pm and 6.30pm also in room A.G.11 in the Old Mill Lane campus.

Find out more about studying A Levels, life as a student and the support available at Barnsley Sixth Form College. Come and see our Principal’s presentation at 4.30pm, 5.30pm and 6.30pm in the Enrich Theatre in the Sixth Form College.

Will you be leaving school in 2024?

If you’re trying to decide what to do after leaving school, then look no further than Barnsley College or Barnsley Sixth Form College.

You and your parents/carers will have the opportunity to speak to tutors, attend presentations, find out about the range of support services available to you, and look around the campuses to see our great facilities.

Looking for A Levels?

Barnsley Sixth Form College will be open so come and find out about the range of A Level subjects that are available to study. It has an excellent reputation for success and achieved a 99% overall pass rate in 2023 with a 100% pass rate in the majority of subjects, including Film Studies, Mathematics, Media Studies and Physics. The Sixth Form campus is on St Mary’s Place, a short walk from the Old Mill Lane campus.

Interested in a university-level course?

If you’re looking to extend your qualifications with a university-level course, we offer a range of higher-level programmes including foundation and honours degrees, Higher and Degree Apprenticeships, HNCs, HNDs, Higher Technical Qualifications and professional business and leadership courses which are validated by leading universities.

Looking for an adult or part-time course?

The Open Day also offers an opportunity for you to find out about our adult and part-time courses. These range from career-focused qualifications to short programmes which can be studied as a hobby or for fun.

Aged 16-18 and not currently in education, employment or training?

There’s still time to apply for this academic year. Through a personalised timetable you can build your skills for the future – whether it’s a mix of art, engineering, digital and fashion; or construction, catering, games design, music, or anything in between. Where to find us

Have a look at our  campuses page  to see the location of our sites. Visitors can use the public car park, The Seam, on County Way behind the Old Mill Lane campus, Electric Theatre and SciTech Digital Innovation Hub. This is a council-run pay and display car park. Our Wigfield Farm, STEM Centre, Automotive Technologies Centre, Honeywell Sports campus and The CUBE Construction campuses have limited visitor car parking spaces.
