About the event
We are hosting a Spring Show at our Wigfield Farm campus on Wednesday 17 April, 11.00am until 3.00pm, featuring animal showing, ferret racing, live talks and face painting.
Our students will take to the stage and showcase what the farm has on offer.
Schedule for the day*
11.00am: Doors open to the public
11.00am: Llama and Equine Show Classes
12.30pm: Sheep, Cattle and Pig Student Classes/Competition
3.00pm: Doors close to the public
Interactive sessions taking place on the day*
If you’d like to get up and close with our animals, come along to our interactive sessions that are being held throughout the day.

- Meet the Lambs
- Feed the Meerkats
Throughout the day, there will be ferret racing and rabbit and guinea pig show classes. There will also be independent craft and gift stalls, a horticulture stand, face painting and food and drink will be available.
The event will take place at our Wigfield Farm campus, Haverlands Lane, Barnsley, S70 5NQ.
The admission price for the farm is £3.50 per person with free entry for children under the age of two.
We offer a range of full and part-time vocational courses and apprenticeships in Agriculture, Animal Management and Horticulture, including Level 3Animal Care Practical Skills Part-time, Animal Management Foundation Degree (FdSc), Level 2 Horticulture (Professional Gardening) and Level 3 Landscape/Horticulture Supervisor Apprenticeship.
