Come to our Open Day on Tuesday 1 February, 4.00pm to 7.00pm.
Visitors can explore our state-of-the-art facilities and chat directly to tutors and staff, attend presentations and learn all about the courses on offer. Sites open on the day will include the Old Mill Lane campus; our newly refurbished SciTech Digital Innovation Hub; the Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) campus; the Electric Theatre at Old Mill Lane; and our Honeywell Sports campus.
Barnsley Sixth Form College and the Church Street campus will also be open for those who wish to find out more about A Level programmes and university-level courses.
The Student Services team will be available to advise about money matters, health and wellbeing support and employability, whilst staff from Additional Learning Support will be available to answer questions from individuals who may require support for special educational needs and disabilities.
The Information, Advice and Guidance team will also be on standby to discuss options for those who may not know what the best course for them is. Those aged 19+ and considering a return to education are especially encouraged to speak to advisors, as they can offer guidance on funding options and support for childcare, equipment and travel.
Yiannis Koursis, Principal and Chief Executive Officer at Barnsley College, said: “We love opening our doors to future students, parents and carers. Open day gives us a great opportunity to showcase our fantastic facilities, but it is also a chance for those who are unsure of their next steps to learn more about how a course at Barnsley College might transform their future.
“Our amazing teaching and support staff are on standby to answer any questions you may have, so don’t hesitate to come chat to us, no matter how big or small your enquiry may be!”
