Course overview

Want to become the next celebrity make-up artist? Dreaming of owning your own beauty salon? Maybe you enjoy finding out the latest beauty tips and want to find out how to apply them?

On this one year course you will develop your knowledge, understanding and practical skills required for success with the beauty industry.

Course content

The areas of study are:

  • Health and safety practice in the salon
  • Client care and communication in beauty related industries
  • Providing facial skin care
  • Providing eyelash and brow treatments
  • Appling make-up
  • Removing hair using waxing techniques
  • Providing manicure treatments

You will carry out practical assessments, written tasks and online exams.

You will be required to purchase an essential equipment kit, uniform, and shoes before starting the course. Order forms which will be provided on enrolment.

On completion of the programme, you may wish to progress onto Level 3 Beauty Therapy.

How much does the course cost?

£633. An introductory six-week course, costing £85, must be completed before you can start this qualification.
