UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Film and Television, Creative Media Production and Technology
The creative industries film and TV sector is an exciting place to be, producing around 200 feature films each year generating 16.4% of global box office revenue. From indie TV classics like ‘This is England’ to worldwide franchises like Harry Potter.
This course is for you if you are a budding film maker and want to develop high levels of creative and practical, organisational and analytical skills making professional standard films, television programmes, music videos and online content.
You will develop theoretical knowledge in codes and conventions and audience demographics research, giving you the underpinning knowledge to plan, film and edit digital short films, live TV programmes and outside broadcasts. This course is ideal for you if you are interested in roles like director, producer and camera operator.
You will gain an understanding of how the industry works, learning theoretically about audience demographics, codes and conventions. You will learn the latest techniques for producing exciting film and TV content, with access to purpose built single and multi-camera facilities within the College.
You will develop skills in editing, writing, camera operating and directing as you undertake a range of roles. Throughout the course you will use your imagination to write, plan and produce media in a range of genres from documentaries to short films all whilst working collaboratively in production teams.
