Safeguarding and Prevent Level 2 Certificate Part-time

Start Date / Duration

This course is due to start on 5th September 2024 on Thursdays 4:30pm - 8:30pm. The course will run for 10-12 weeks.

Entry requirements

  • You should be at least 19 years old
  • There are no prior entry requirements for this course.

You will achieve

Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Safeguarding and Prevent.

 

Course overview

This course is available as part of a package of short Childcare courses, with these courses available throughout the year. For information about other short courses visit Childcare and Teacher Training.

People working with young people have a duty of care and need to be aware of how to keep children safe, and how to spot those at risk. This qualification is designed to increase your knowledge and awareness of the Prevent Duty and safeguarding, including online safety.

Course content

You will study:

  • Unit one: Understanding the Prevent Duty
  • Unit two: Understanding Safeguarding
  • Unit three: Understanding Online Safety

You will be assessed via online coursework.

You will require stationery, a folder and a USB.

How much does the course cost?

This course is FREE for all learners.
